Who I Am

My name is Amanda and I'm a recovering 'fatiguer'.Phew! I feel like I just came out at an AA meeting. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/M.E. around 2009. I don't like to focus on it as an illness. Due to my personal circumstances (see more in 'About') I had to find a way to cope with the disease and keep working as a Pilates Instructor, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Massage Therapist.

I tried many complementary therapies some of which helped a little or a lot. Nutrition was by far and away my best find and improved my symptoms markedly. Making food my best friend has literally kept me going.

You Are What You Eat

I have experimented on myself for over five years. I discovered the difference food can make in helpful and unhelpful ways!  I have no nutritional background but have taken advice from two nutritional therapists and done my own research into the best vitamins and minerals for energy and a healthy, functioning body and mind. I have also taken influence from the paleo and Banting worlds but I don't claim these recipes are pure paleo or Banting based. Recipes are suitable for anyone wanting to be healthy.

Nutrition reasearched and based, easy to make and prepare. Recipes that are aimed at people with fatigue-related conditions or people with common food intolerances. Now published in a book Eating for Energy available on Amazon.
